Probleme mit TopSound DS

Beitrag von Linda »

Hallo,

Vielen Dank!

In English it is easier for me to explain the problems...)

Hello Linda,

...the light within the powerswitch is direct wired to the power. So, it should be lightening after power on in any case (the only case for off-light is if the bulb is broken - I never saw that...).

As discussed before within this thread: Try to check the fuses. They should be assembled near by the power-transformers.

I do not know exactly but I think there are some LEDs on the power supplies, indicating the right low-power.

Cheer up - we try to help you finding the problems.

Hallo, :)

thanks for answering so quickly! The problem is in fact that I don't know exactly what has gone wrong with my organ. At a certain moment, we wanted to play on it, and we had no sound, nothing at all, only the noise of the power-transformer...
As I already tried to explain in German, we have moved the organ with a van from a school over a distance of about 3 or 4 kilometres. After that, I tried to play, and there was a lot of 'noise' in my opinion, coming out of the 'inside' of the organ. When a played some notes, there was a sound, a bit sharp, but that has probably to do with the regulation..

Is it possible to see if a fuse is broken or not?

I've found a user's manual from a RIHA-organ, and it says something about 'what-to-do-when-you-are-going-to-transport-a-organ'. You can find it further in my text (in German).

Hi Linda,

... I do not think that the hall has somethnig to do with your problem.

If there is no sound you have to check at first the fuses. There are several fuses in the organ. Check the fuses for the amplifier and for the power-supply of the organ. At least these both must be present.

Maybe a cable is not well connected. But at first please check the fuses.

All fuses you find in the organ are small fuses. You will see the conductor. If it is broken the fuse is broken. You may take a small ohmmeter if you are not sure if the fuse is broken or not.

Thank you very much for your answers!!

I've asked someone to come and check the fuses and the cables, because he is more capable than me to do such things...

I don't know yet when he's going to do that, so, I will tell you when I have more news!

Nochmals vielen Dank!

Linda

Nochmals vielen Dank für eure Hilfe!

A friend of mine has checked the fuses, and indeed, as you said, they were broken. I think he said it were the fuses of the power transformer, but I'm not sure.
The organ isn't repared yet, but now we know what the problem is, and he will repare it for me. We hope the organ will work when the fuses are ok. I will let you know if the organ plays again... :)

(excuse me if my english isn't perfect, it's just my third language.. :( )

Vielen Dank!

Linda

Linda,

...no matter.

Normally it has a reason why the fuse breaks. We will hope that nothing more is defect.

Anyway, enjoy your organ. You should have a look to the new organs from Böhm. Böhm now cooperates with Musikhaus Jelle van Marrum in the Netherlands.

Your German and Englisch is rather good!
